Mushroom and Swiss Turkey Burgers with Champagne Mustard

Serves 2


  • 5 tbs olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/3 cup red cabbage, finely chopped
  • 3/4 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 hamburger buns, pretzel buns are recommended
  • 2 tbs HerbNZest Caramelized Apple Champagne Mustard


In a skillet, sauté mushrooms and cabbage with 3 tbs. oil for 3 minutes. Set aside.

In a bowl mix salt, pepper, and ground turkey. Shape two equal portions into patties. In the skillet, add 2 tbs oil and cook the patties for 3 minutes on each side.

Place patty on a bun, then half the cheese, half of the mushroom mixture, and 1 tbs of HerbNZest Caramelized Apple Champagne Mustard. Top with the other bun half. Repeat to make the other sandwich.
