Ham and Cheese Sandwich with Chive Tomato Spread

Serves 1


  • 1 large ciabatta roll
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 thinly sliced double smoked ham
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 4 tbs HerbNZest Chive Tomato Relish
  • 1/3 cup of fresh greens (optional)

Preparation: Slice the ciabatta roll in half horizontally. Brush the inside of the ciabatta roll with butter. In a skillet brown the ciabatta roll, butter side faced down and toast for one minute.

Then use a knife to spread 2 tbsp of HerbNZest Chive Tomato Relish on the browned side. Layer on half the cheese and all of the ham slices, then add the rest of the cheese. Top another 2 tbsp of HerbNZest Chive Tomato Relish.

Layer some micro greens on top for crunchiness (optional). Then top the sandwich with the remaining ciabatta slice. Slice through the middle and serve.
